Heron Surprised
A Great Blue Heron, an iconic North American bird! This painting represents an actual experience, as this heron approached to land in a clearing and was surprised to find us standing there. I have shown it as it extended its legs and neck and flew further off. This is an old (1981) painting, but digitally scanned now.
